We The People

This program is based on the We the People…the Citizen and the Constitution text and is available for high school students. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of the Constitution and Bill of Rights and an appreciation of the rights and responsibilities of citizens in our constitutional democracy. The culminating activity is a simulated Congressional hearing in which students demonstrate their knowledge of constitutional issues in historical and contemporary contexts. Community leaders serve as judges for competitive and classroom based hearings.

C3LE has partnered with the national Center For Civic Education to bring their flagship “We The People” program to Colorado schools.
